TNR quickly established itself in the corporate communications market by reinventing the concept of the Video News Release (VNR) with the launch of the Television News Release (TNR).
A TNR is an audio visual press release – so your story is released in TV pictures rather than written words. We produce commissioned TV footage for companies, charities and other organisations and in addition to expertly filming your news story, we will also advise all relevant broadcasters and distribute the footage to those who request it.
There are 2 guiding principles that make us stand out in the VNR market:
Honesty On average, we advise 2 out of 3 clients NOT to invest in a TNR on the basis that either the story is not newsworthy enough OR that it won’t add value to your campaign. We protect our relationship with our clients and with the broadcasters by ensuring that we only take on stories we think we can place.
Affordability The other principle is to charge fair and affordable prices, based on the awareness that PR budgets are the poor relations when compared to those for advertising and other marketing communications. TNR’s charges can be as much as 50% lower than other comparable VNR providers.
We never provide broadcasters with a finished edit. We typically produce 10-12 minutes of footage and leave it up to the broadcasters to cut their own reports. Allowing them editorial control means it is much more likely your pictures will be used. It also keeps the cost down!
Our standard TNR also includes an A-Roll edit which is ideal for uploading on multiple video-sharing sites and for use in other multimedia PR activity.
OUR STANDARD TNR COSTS JUST £5,950

For the right story and the right spokesperson, investing in a satellite truck in order to facilitate live 2 way interviews with interested TV stations can be a very smart move. Our partners are some of the most experienced outside broadcast suppliers in the world and, together with TNR's expertise in news and our contacts at TV stations around the world, this service can add a high level of kudos at clients' major events.
With the explosion of video on the Internet, traditional broadcasting is no longer the only outlet for commissioned footage. Further details of our multimedia video services are available on the Video Production page.
